Small Biz Survival
Living in a small town, Becky McCray provides small town, small businesses with a way to connect with the business world in her Small Biz Survival blog. It makes sense to have a blog on rural entrepreneurship because almost half the US population lives in rural areas. This is the only blog on rural issues that we found. McCray's writing is informative and interesting. |

BizBen
Peter Siegel writes the BizBen blog. The site targets business buyers, business owners, and business brokers primarily in California. While the blog has a regional audience, many of the concepts in the posts apply to other locations as well. For anyone interested in buying or selling a business, a quick scan of the Frequently Asked Questions section would probably be helpful.

Youngentrepreneur
Youngentrepreneur is the second entrepreneurship blog by Matthew and Adam Toren in our best of rankings. This duo which also wrote a book on how to blog for profit, hit the mark with this specialty blog that focuses on issues of youths becoming entrepreneurs. Although some of the topics are more general, most of them would be useful to the target readers. |

The Startup Lawyer
The Startup Lawyer
is Ryan Roberts. His blog which started in 2008 is not the most
technically impressive, but the information on it is great. Topics
include incorporation, stock options, and venture capital. Roberts
takes these rather technical topics and breaks them down to a usable
form for entrepreneurs. Notably, many of the comments to the posts come
from other subject matter experts a strong signal as to who is reading. |

Yoichiro (”Yokum”) Taku posts his thoughts on the Startup Company Lawyer
blog. The site is not updated very often, but that takes away little
from the site because most of the information is not time sensitive.
Rather than organize the posts by date, most of them are arranged by
topic making the site easy to use for entrepreneurs. |

Wayne Liew Dot Com
When reading the Wayne Liew Dot Com blog, it become rather obvious why Mr. Liew writes about youths in business. He is experiencing it himself. It is rather impressive that this blog has been published since August, 2007. Liew really speaks to youths as is evidenced by his high number of comments.

For Women Entrepreneurs
Roberta Shaler, a psychologist by training, posts her thoughts on the For Women Entrepreneurs blog. Shaler publishes about once a week with more of a personal tone than some other business blogs. The blog is commercialized more than some readers might like, but it is just a no-brainer to create a women entrepreneurship site. Women entrepreneurs are increasing faster than any other segment.

BlackPreneur.net
BlackPreneur.net is more of a magazine than a blog. The posts are impersonal to the writers and the writers are anonymous. Still, it is a well done site that differentiates from other sites because it features posts about black entrepreneurs. A similar site written from an insider's point of view would likely be a big hit. |
